The Book That Changed My Running Life...


In March, coach Reno lent me a book on improving your running form: Chi Running.

Chi Running is not only a book that will improve your form, which leads to less injuries and faster race times, it's also a way of life! I eagerly read through the book like a kid at Christmas morning and rushed out to get my own copy. It literally blew me right out of my running shoes. :)

Running Resources - Chi Running is simply awesome. My training pace instantly picked up from making a few simple changes in my form and focusing on increasing my cadence. On June at the New England USATF Chamionships, I ran my fastest 5K in years. The combination of Reno's coaching and Chi Running were major factors in my success.

OK, raise your hand if you stretch regularly. If you did, good for you. You would be surprised at how many runners don't. Of course we all know that stretching will increase our flexibility, range of motion and help keep us off the injury train...

But I know what it's like... you work all day and just trying to squeeze in your workouts can be quite challenging. So stretching gets put off and becomes one of things runners will do, "if I only had more time."
