Hi, my name is Nick I'm from Plymouth in the UK. I have been running for four years, and had always planned on sourcing a coach who could help me as an individual to move to the next level. I tried the route of a running club and local coaches and then turned my focus to the internet. My wife and I looked at the several different options of 'smart online coaching' and decided that I should contact www.distancerunningtips.com.

I did have a few reservations including;

1. Would it just be a case of paying a fee and then being sent a generic training plan etc.

2. Who was the coach? Were they at the standard I was at or more importantly better so they could understand my training feelings and what I needed!

3. What success and experience do they have as runners and what have their other runners achieved?

After speaking to Franc and then a Skype session with Coach Reno, all my concerns were put to rest. Reno has a wealth of experience and achievements in his running career and if I can achieve 50% of what he has then I will be a really satisfied runner!

Communication via Skype and Email works flawlessly with day by day communication and responses to emails usually within minutes, any concerns or questions are answered. The weekly plan is always adjustable by coach Reno to suit weather, mood or even a last minute race. He even sent me training schedules to suit running in Africa while we were on our Honeymoon!

Benefits I have seen already from hiring Coach Reno are I am a stronger fitter and faster runner! In the past I could train well for six weeks then be out injured for a month. But Coach has shown me the importance of different sessions. Easy is easy and Hard is Hard! Before hiring Reno I would concentrate on what everyone else was doing and achieving and would change my training on a hourly basis!

I happen to find your site and was quite impressed. And I got motivated to take my jogs to a different level.

I had never run more than 1K as far as I remember throughout my life before I started training after going through your site.

Well with great satisfaction...

I successfully completed my first 10K run (without stopping :-), on Sunday 18th May 2008 conducted in Bangalore, with meager 57:16 minutes; (but my personal best!!), as my aim was to cross the finish line without getting unconscious :-) and stopping!!!

I practiced for about 5 months every day at 4-6 Am with breaks and exercises... and had never run more than 7K before Sunday at a stretch. So was quite pleased with my performance overall!

Your site was a great help for a beginner who did not know any thing at all about running!! My entire lifestyle has changed and I feel great about my confidence and health.
